Saying Good bye

I am feeling much more ready to come back to Canada. We are saying good bye these days; doing all our favorite things one last time; seeing all of our friends for one more gathering of friendship and fun.

A big old cockroach climbed into one of our suitcases that was almost packed up. I was going to try to find it, but Andy said it would die in the cold of the airplane cargo area. I thought it would be a good memory anyway to find its remains on the other side. Cockroaches are really disgusting, especially when you catch a few climbing on your dishes or on the tooth brush you left out, in the middle of the night!!! But there is something very satisfying about stomping one, watching it squirm, then one final stomp to death...

Good bye cockroaches, good bye heat, good bye tropics, goodbye mangoes fresh to eat.

Hello apple blossom, hello bike ride, hello good friends, hello spaces open wide.
